Do not place hazardous material in the recycling bin.

1. Sharps should NOT be placed in the recycling bin.

2. Sharps may be put in a heavy plastic bottle like a laundry detergent or bleach bottle.

If Sharps are put in a laundry detergent or bleach bottle…

1. Screw the lid on securely

2. Place it in your garbage receptacle to go to the landfill

If you want to dispose of them at the Recycling Center, you must bring them to the Center yourself.
Don’t place other types of hazardous material in the recycling bin.
