Sharps should never be placed in the recycling bin. This is a danger to collectors and recycling center employees. They can be brought to the Recycling Center in heavy plastic containers only, such as an empty laundry detergent bottle or bleach bottle. Trash Every household in Ottumwa has been assigned a 64 gallon, wheeled trash cart for weekly curbside pickup. All trash should be bagged before it’s placed in the cart.
